Members musicalpeace
Hey guys, I just bought a 1967 vox wah last week. It's all original- it has the ICAR pot, trash can inductor, arrow switch and ARCO caps. It's not the Clyde McCoy model, but its by far the best wah I've ever played. Anyways, I've lately been noticing an annoying popping sound whenever the pedal gets close to touching the switch when the wah is engaged. It's weird though, because the clicking stops when there is little or no signal coming from the guitar (when I'm not playing anything, but the volume on the guitar is still turned up). I can still hear a faint wah thing going on when moving the pedal up and down, but there's no clicking. It comes back immediately as soon as I start playing something. It's not an issue with the guitar, the amp, or the cables. I've switched out everything. Just wondering if any of you had any bright ideas? Members imbuedblue
Try cleaning the pot with some Caig DeOxit D5. Disengage the rack gear, spray some DeOxit into the pot, rotate the pot several times, spray again, and rotate again. Then, follow the adjustment procedure below:
