OT: Strap lock button fail

I'd gotten a couple sets of Dunlop strap locks (just the buttons, not the part that affixes to the strap). Used my old strap that has had the locks on for over 10 years. Now, the strap won't come off one of the buttons. It seems like it should but it doesn't.

Suggestions?

I know that several of you have been concerned, wondering how LSD will resolve this issue. Well, I had an insight. I put a drop of hair clipper oil in the contact point and it popped right out. So let this be a reminder to you gentlemen, a little bit of lube can make life so much better.

I just now saw this thread and was going to suggest a tiny drop of WD-40 or 3-in-1.
