Members ElectricPuppy
K! If you change your mind, it's still sitting here, unloved. I really ought to just put it back in the box.
Members brandonm
What's the difference between the MC-909 and MC-808? I may know someone that may be interested, but I don't know enough about the 808 to explain what it is compared to the 909.
Members ElectricPuppy
I'm not sure, either, I've never used a 909. You could probably find some info on both over at Rolands site, though.
Members The Hamburglar
Thx, ElectricPuppy. I bought his mopho, BTW. I'm thinking about buying a desktop Evolver as well and seeing what I think of the two. I know the Evolver has a lot more options and a nicer interface, but the demos of the Mopho really make it seem to me like exactly the sound I want. We shall see how I get along with it. Members brandonm
I don't know too much about the 909 either (I know absolutely nothing about the 808), but I did a little bit of research. Seems like they are very similiar in features, but the panel interface is different. I will talk to my buddy later today. I already sent him a text, and he said he is interested, but he doesn't really know much about any of the current grooveboxes (he had a mc-303 and 307 years ago). He's not a serious musician, but he likes having something to play around on. The grooveboxes are actually good for that.
Members ElectricPuppy
MC-808 is being held for possible sale! Dang, at this rate I should clean house and put some more stuff up. Lol!
Members brandonm
I sent you a PM. I have another question I forgot to ask. When you load a sample, does/can it automatically scale the entire keyboard/pads, or is it restricted to a single note but you can still change the pitch. Sorry for all the questions, I just am not completely familiar with all the features. That should be my last question. Thanks
Members ElectricPuppy
Honestly, I don't know. I'll have to check the manual and see, but I'd be surprised if it couldn't do that. I actually never did use the sampling feature. Yeah, I'm a preset monkey... sue me. Members The Hamburglar
How much?
Members ElectricPuppy
Does $400 plus shipping sound about right? This is the one I had that long thread about restoring the chips in. It's fully-functional, no missing knobs, brand new battery. It does have some small scratches and the blue buttons have all faded some. I'll provide the original manual and power cord.
Members The Hamburglar
I'm sorry, I shouldn't have even asked. The price is great but I need more time with my two new (one on its way) synths.
Members flat earth
.... but I need more time with my two new (one on its way) synths. We obviously feel compelled to ask, what these 'synths' you speak of, ...are? :poke:

Members The Hamburglar
Ooo, a Wave, too? I'd like to hear what you think of it. RIP It's a great instrument, just doesn't make financial sense to me to own when I can get a Macbook Pro for the same price.
