Members hangwire
I may need to add in something for a friend's recording and I'm thinking a nice fuzzy guitar mimicing a brassy or jazz line will really pop. want to keep it "stock" sounding so a direct tab would help me from breaking and doing a more improv/surf fills unlearning to move forward
Members driverhasabomb
For traditional stuff just use whatever scale fits the chord. G7 - mixolydian, Dm7 - dorian, etc. Use leading tones... b3 into the 3, b6 into the 6... that kind of thing. It might be hip to do some bop lines if it's a faster track. You probably aren't going to find tab for that stuff. Just torrent a fakebook and pick up on lines from songs like Boplicity, Anthropology, Groovin' High, etc.
