Members Fender&EHX4ever
Is it a starved plate design?
Members Northstar
I don't know. All I can say is that I really like B. K. Butler's designs in term of sound. I had the Blue Tube but in rack form. That was not useful and I sold it a few years ago.

Members Northstar
an HC review said it runs at 12 volts. OP, confirm/deny? I'm not an electronic guy. All I know is that the pedal plugs straight in the wall and that there's a transformer inside. I don't know on what voltage the circuit runs on. Moot questions IMO, considering I like how it sounds. I needed one for lower gain settings on my pedalboard, the higher gain being taken care of by the Overlord.
Members gambit
is this one based on the Tube Driver? or, how does it sound?
Members Northstar
I haven't received it yet. I just won it on eBay. If it's exactly the same circuit as the rack version, it does not have a lot of gain but just a bit of grit and plenty of high end, which I'm looking for. It might say on the bottom/side of the pedlol, is the power cord built into it? If it's not, it will be important to know if you were to power it with another adapter some time. The power cord goes straight in the pedal, you can't remove it unless you disassemble the pedal.
