Members Cliff Fiscal
Any issues with having an EQ in the loop to shape the tone of an amp, AND having reverb and delay in the loop? The EQ is shaping the tone of the end tone of the amp. Won't that sound weird with the reverb and delay? As the signal be getting the tweaked by the EQ? Not sure if I described that well enough to be understandable?
Members phil.is.bald
Well basically you should see it like this. This is how your effects loop is working. Input/guitar/pedals > Preamp > Effects Loop/Pedals > Power section/speaker/sound What is basically happening is that if you have an EQ in your effects loop it'll be EQing everything that's gone into your amp. If you want yer reverbs and delays soundin' fine and dandy you can put them in the effects loop after the EQ and they'll be delayin' and reverbin' your input/amp tone after it's been EQ'd. Simples. Members Cliff Fiscal
So if I were EQ'ing the amp to have more high end response....the verb and delay would be bright as hell?
Members phil.is.bald
Not necessarily! I mean the delays would repeat your tone but if you had the EQ before the delay and had a dark delay/verb your amp tone could be bright but the delays would still retain their sound.
