Members kriista
So I was trying to buy an on/on/on (center on) switch for this thing I'm building:When the switch arrived I noticed it had this peculiar (to me) switching scheme. I then started scouring ebay and such for a dpdt switch, but it seems like all the ones are set up like this (for a guitar pickup setup). Does anyone know if a 'real' DPDT on/on/on exists? (as in, when in center position, each center pin is connected to BOTH of its outer pins).
Members juri
Are you trying to switch the signals individually? Else you should be able to solve your problem by connecting 1 and 4 and 3 and 6.

Members kriista
I tried figuring out a way but couldn't think of one What I'm doing is having two input sources, one on 1 and one on 3, and those go to 2 either individually or together. The other side is going to be turning the electronic instrument on or off(cutting power). The on/on/on would do that perfectly as the battery would be connected always except only when the acoustic instrument is running.

Members IvIark
I haven't seen one where both the other sets of contacts are made in the centre position. You could get a DP3T switch where a different set of contacts are made in each position including the centre position, and you could link the centre contacts to make other connections in that position. Members kriista
Hmm, hadn't thought of that. That kind of pcb-ish switch wouldn't work as I have to mount through wood on the instrument.

Those are the same wiring as those above, not really suitable for trying to do signal AND power routing on the same switch. Members kriista
This on the right would be ideal! Can't seem to find any for sale that are actually that way. Couldn't find a 3pdt that was on/on/on either.
