Members soundxplorer
Like the Revolution sequencer, only smaller. Designed to sit right next to your XS. http://www.future-retro.com/orboverview.html

Members idiotboy
If it's a tabletop, I'm not sure why the jacks are on top, instead of in back?
Members soundxplorer
If it's a tabletop, I'm not sure why the jacks are on top, instead of in back? To fit in with the aesthetic of the XS maybe? From the website: "...the first offering in our new line of XS-ories" Meaning, more "XS-ories" will be available in the future I suppose. Members r05c03
Yeah, hopefully they will come out with another module that is about the same size and two of them will link side by side and then into a rackmount of some sort! Members llamastorm
Still only a single track? Darn it. If something like that existed that was easy to enter stuff into and could do about 12 tracks at once, I'd be all over it. Basically like a monomachine without the sound engine or something. (Those are way too pricey).
Members AfroRouge
Makes sense. This will appeal to the modular crowd, which currently doesn't have many options when it comes to CV sequencers. Also means the XS is sticking around, which is awesome. Members stikygum
I'm not sure where you got the 'XS might not be produced anymore' thing. That thing is a solid buy for any studio. Love it. Once you buy one, you'll understand a product like the XS doesn't go away (only once the materials run out ). But I've speculated for a while that the XS will have add ons. The Orb looks cool and would be cool with any synth, without the distractions of wanting to use an onboard synth (like the Revo). I think it would allow people to open up new worlds for other synths and sequence like a TB, but with new sonic possibilities. I was hoping for a multitimbral sequencer though. Members Juan Ebola
http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq.html A fanatical cult. Nice sequencer, but not particularly easier than something like the p3. And you have to have diy skills in order to get one. Otherwise they will hunt you down. It's got 8 tracks (not 12) but it's a very capable little sequencer:
