Members x-ray specs
Sounds like the Flanger Hoax on track 7. Return. Probably used it on some other songs too, right?
Members Jan Deal
Nope! I don't have a Flanger hoax! I don't think that I used any modulation effects on Return, it's just distorted guitars.
Members Jan Deal
A friend of the band came up with some visuals to go along with our song "Easy Taiga", pretty {censored}ing cool even if I say so myself. We are also playing a show supporting Dylan Carlson this Sunday, so we are all pretty excited by that.Fingers crossed we will have finished our album by the end of the year too. Members Danhedonia
Do you know Jan Burnett of Spare Snare? Is he still in Aberdeen? I'm an old friend of his.

Members Jan Deal
http://seasstarry.bandcamp.com/album/cody-album-versionSo we have a new song from the album uploaded for a limited time to stream. It's part of promotions for a club night that the band have started. I thought that I would share it here anyway, as you guys usually give good feedback. Thanks, really appreciate the Eno reference. We played the only independant record shop in Aberdeen (our home town) the other week for a music day that being held all over the city. We were the first band to play, and we opened with this:
Members Jan Deal
Seas, Starry have contributed a track to the latest Not a Teepee release. The theme was one chord, so we came up with a shoegaze drone, with added schizophrenic drum machine sounds.http://notateepee.bandcamp.com/album/one-chord
Members Jan Deal
https://soundcloud.com/cherbourgharpsassembly/tugboat So, myself and one of the guitarist have started a covers side-project named the Cherbourgh Harps Assembly. Our cover of the Galaxie 500 song "Tugboat" is our first recording. It's really lo-fi, so I hope people here like it!
Members Jan Deal
Here is a video of a new song (quite Sonic Youth influenced), with myself playing my trusty parts Jazzmaster. This one in fact. My partner and member Claire has just acquired one of these. Let us know what you think of the new song!
Members Jan Deal
We have a new "pay what you like" EP available for streaming and download. A small blurb about the recordings - A small collection of home recordings. Toft Sands was originally recorded for a compilation in 2015 and was inspired by the landscape of Toft, Shetland, near to where Jan grew up. Toft is a wild coastal region with a small ferry port overlooking Yell Sound; a body of water between the Northern Shetland mainland and the island of Yell. The other three compositions were recorded more recently and in a similar style to Toft Sands, inspired heavily by a Steve Reich listening binge. The follow up to Tyto Alba will be recorded in July 2016, but since these more ambient tracks don't fit with the direction of that material, we decided to release them as a standalone EP. https://seasstarry.bandcamp.com/album/yell-soundz Check it out and let me know what you think! Members Danhedonia
The site has died since you started this thread. The music is still compelling -- thoughtful and well conceived. The band I told you about (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spare_Snare) are from Dundee; you would do well to know them. I may be drifting around the Hebrides in July. Playing out anywhere?
