Members 64DUECE Posted September 10, 2005 Members Share Posted September 10, 2005 I've had the amp for about 6 months, and thought they were 6550's the whole time. The tubes are GT 6l6c's. I don't really know what to compare the sound to. I like the low end, but it's missing something in the mids. How close are these 6l6's to the 6550 tubes that used to come with them stock? Members JerryP Posted September 10, 2005 Members Share Posted September 10, 2005 The 2204 never came with 6L6's. Someone put those in. I've modded Marshall's to use 6L6. I like them.
