Some guys prefer the Axis. I don't know many people that really think they are the same - frets are smaller on the axis, fingerboard is flatter on the wolfgang, pickups are different, and the wolfgang can be had with an arched top that isn't offered at all on the axis. Members Dimebag11
If you can get the Kevin Bond get that! If not, go for the DV8-R I have one and they are real easy and fun to play and weigh next to NOTHING!
Members GCDEF
In that price range with a 25 1/2 scale, I'd be looking at G&Ls.
Members rhino bucket
Hammet (don't really like him at all, but the guitar seems nice) me neither, but still got the guitar and pretty happy with it so far. i got the kh-602, i would rather have gotten a m-1000, but wasn't any around at the time. sounds damn good and stays in tune like crazy. when i got the kh-602, i was actually liking how similarly priced jacksons and deans played, but went with the kh for the emgs and floyd. Would you consider trade and cash? The Axis has a Floyd? Most of the ones that I have seen don't. Let me know. I think I will have to get a couple hundred more to get a Wolfgang USA. But sounds from here like a great guitar. If you saw my other threads I was chasing down a used Wolfgang and it turned out he wanted $750 but it was the Korean which I am seeing is too high of a price. Members TOStudent
Okay!!!!!!!!! GREAT news. I just called my local store that is a Peavey amp dealer that I bought my JSX from and the one store had a Korean Wolfgang for $799. I didn't know they sold Peavey guitars. He mentioned he thought that the other store may have one USA. The other store has 2 USA!! A bridge with a maple top. A Floyd in cream color. GET THIS ...........................$839 USA Wolfgang. I hope I can get off work in time to get there to check it out.
