Members HurleyGuitarist9
What is the difference between the Single Rectifier Series One and Two? I found a used Single Rec at a local music store for 799.99 and I think its a series 1. Is that a good deal?
Members thoughtless0ne
I can answer this one... The differences between the two are. The series 1 says SERIES I on the rear of it. The series 2 says SERIES II on the rear of it.
Members Dale B.
Series II is supposed to have a revamped clean channel, which will affect the overdrive channel as well. Also, I don't think the Series I versions could swap to EL34's, but I may be way off there. I remember there being some option that the Series I didn't have that the Series II had. Maybe someone else can come in and confirm this? Dale

On the Series II version, all you have to do is flip a switch to get it working with EL34s.
Members megaboogie
Series II also has a Raw mode which series I doesn't have.I think the price is ok for a local store, but you can find it cheaper on ebay.

Members TattooedCarrot
Series II is supposed to sound better, warmer. I had a series I, but never a II so I can't compare.

Any at all? series I also had some kind of funky deal with the channel switching. it would take a split second for the new channel to get to full volume after switched. it's not a big deal. i think this is the main reason for series II having a higher resale, but, like i said, it's not a big deal. i owned one, and it never bothered me.
