Is this practical? cab question

I just bought a Line 6 HD147 ( from another board member ) and I was thinking about cabinets to get for it

 

Would it be better to get a 4x12 cabinet, or 2 2x12 cabs that I could set up on opposite ends of the stage to let the stereo effects really shine?

 

What would the benefits be of either plan?

Its up to you. If you want to take advantage of the stereo thing,you want to obviously get some separation. Of course,if you want the stereo thing to really have any overall effect,you need to make sure your sound system is set up in stereo and then you obviously have to mic each cab or side,or use the left and right line outs on the head.
