Members 2B
Hi. I need some "advice and help" here.... I'm considering to trade my Vox AC-30HW (handwired) with a Matchless DC-30. Both amps are "mint-condition", like new. I just can't make up my mind. I really do not want to let the Vox go, it's a KILLER amp for what it does. I know, do NOT get rid of a great amp....you'll regret it in a while. Then, the next day I'm gassing like sh...for a DC-30. Maybe the AC-30HW is one of the best Vox amps ever produced. Then, the Matchy also has killer tone. Maybe I should just start to save up some $$$ for a Matchless DC-30 later on, I guess. What do You think? Cool with some feedbacks! Thanks! Members primativ
I've heard the matchless is based on a Vox so you might as well keep the real thing.

Members kayak
You have the real thing, why lose it to get the imitator? (no offense to the imitator, it is probably THE BEST imitator of the AC-30 out there!)
Members 2B
Hi kayak. Thanks. I guess You're right. I'll try to fight my "GAS" for the Matchless.

Members Rusty G.
The DC30 is not a vox imitator. The first channel is loosely based upon one of the Vox AC30's and the second channel is loosely based upon a Vox AC15. It's the best amp I've ever owned. Highly recommended.
