The problem with instrumental music is its lack of popularity. I think most non-musically inclined people find instrumental music boring, and that's why they turn to music with lyrics.

 

Used to be in a surf band called The Treblemakers between 1997 and 2000, and although people enjoyed our all instrumental show, it was clear that some songs with lyrics in our set would have been better. What you say is very true.

It turned out to cost more than I had hoped, or planned, however on the upside, I get to keep the recording gear upgrades I did for the project, so that's good.
