Members Mikeo
I own many Mesa's and after playing this amp for about 1/2 an hour, I did love the clean channel, but thought the second channel was rather muddy. I don't think that channel would really cut throught the mix. That 2nd channel had enough gain for me, but was not super high gain in tone. Members Highgrade
That's pretty typical of BOOGIES. Great clean tone but muddy, bass oriented distortion tones that do not cut thru well.

Members Fxrs
I love Mesa's, but that amp just doesn't even come close to doing it for me. I'd buy an F-series in a heartbeat before a Lonestar.
Members came2play
I have the 212 combo. I Love the clean channel but the drive channel...is not my style. i mean it's good to crunch it up a bit or go for a blusey drive, but that's not what I'm after. My solution - Just use the clean channel with pedals, like many other people with many other amps. My rig is a flippin' tone monster. I just recently made the decision to not use the drive channel and I'm not looking back. The amp kills.
