Members AtillaTheHungry
I sure hope so, since the combined cost of everything I own was $1,200. Ibanez SZ320 Kustom Quad DFX 100 Pod XT Live Dan Electro Fish & Chips Digitech Bad Monkey But at least it's all pretty darned tweakable, so I can squeeze tolerable sounds out of it. Members gafyagaton
My gear collection sucks and my playing skill sucks. Problem? seriously.... I dont know if I am a good player or not. Just when I think I'm good.......... I listen to bumblefoot. He is a painful reminder to my guitar ego... .that i dont deserve my ego. He reminds me: I AM NOT A REAL GUITAR PLAYER. I AM .........just another bar chord box pattern bastard. ask me this question a couple of years from now when I make more money. I will have the rig of gods............ and my technique will still be at the same plateau it is now.

Members jaymz_wylde85
uhh...i dont think chops have much to do with the equipment you use...ive heard completely horrible players sound horrible through an expensive rig and ive heard good players sound like jesus himself with a fender champion. as for myself...my rig fits my playing pretty well and its cost me about $3000 all together...but my playing style requires bigness and headroom...to each his own i guess. Members evilbuttmuncher
No. IMO my skills are beyond the power of a crappy solid state crate amp. My skills is about at a Peavey Ultra Plus level. But By the time i get enough money to get a peavey ultra plus or anything like it ill be good skilled enough that a mesa will handle me just fine. Members Pat Inferno
Judging by my finger-picking skills I should own a Spanish Guitar. I'd say my skills are above my amp, and just even with my guitar.
Members TheAtomicJeff
I think you should own what you can afford. Life's too short not to own some decent gear at some point along the way. http://tinypic.com/k9c6xc.jpg http://tinypic.com/k9cabs.jpg
