Members flaming turd Posted February 14, 2006 Members Share Posted February 14, 2006 ok, so i have a warmoth explorer in black limba (korina) with a wenge neck and a pau ferro fretboard. i don't play metal, this is gonna be a chevelle type guitar. tuning at drop a, maybe a flat. was looking at the emg 85 in the bridge and the 81 in the neck. would that be too bassy? was thinking about the 18v mod, i heard that helps add clarity and less compression. any other suggestions are good too, but as dumb of a reason as this is, i really like the looks of the black covered emgs. whatcha think?
