Members AtillaTheHungry
Great first thread! Way to make an impression! Probably the only suitable new amps in that price range would be a Peavey Valve King or Randall RH/RG50T, although I have never heard either. Peavey Ultra/Ultra Plus, Peavey Classic 50 w/ a boost pedal, Carvin X100B w/ a boost pedal, [edited:] Laney GH50L; something along those lines. Members Paul J. Edwards
The Peavy Classic amps are in your price range and will serve you well with a few pedals.

Members EpiPaul03
lol you guys are assholes. I think I'll help the poor dude out. I'd suggest looking at something like a used 5150 combo maybe...That may be a little more expensive. Vox has a good series out called the "valvetronix". It really depends if you want to go new or uses, tube or solid state.
Members Songman68
I wasn't being an asshole, for the price he is talking about and what he wants to do, I think the Peavey Valve King is a perfect choice. http://www.bananas.com/productdetail.asp/pid_8289/productname_Peavey-Valve-King-112-Combo
