Members Vibroluxman
I play saxophone, mostly Alto and Tenor, with a bari on occasion. Funny thing is I think I'm a much better player on sax then on guitar, even though I've been playing guitar about twice as long as saxophone. Members Mr. Botch
Hi all! I'm primarily a keyboard player in a weekend band, but bought my first tenor sax three years ago with an unexpected tax return. I played trombone from gradeschool thru college jazz band, so I had the breathing/tonguing down pretty much, just needed to learn sax fingering. I decided not to use it on stage until I could make it sound better than a "synth" sax patch, that took about two years. Still making a few wrong note choices and squeaks, but it sure is fun and the crowd seems to dig it. Bought a fire-sale-priced soprano about a year ago, but haven't done too much with it (yet). I've got a Jupiter Artist tenor (silver w/gold keys), with Dukoff metal mouthpiece, #2 plastic reed, and the new Samson Artist clip-on wireless mic. Looking forward to this new forum!
