Members mikeoxlong
One that Doesn't need a computer attached to it.. Something light weight and small preferably. Basically I am looking for a programmable sampling keyboard that sounds good, one that can hold a lot of memory and you can assign a unique sample to each key if need be. I don't know much about new synths and keyboards, but lugging around old organs and vintage synths can be frustrating and nerve racking
Members zzzxtreme
roland G6 i hear is good at samplingX6 too, but I also hear X6 sample loading is slower, if not, X6 is a good deal. around $1K
Members Goofball Jones
The Nord Electro 3 has the original Mellotron samples I believe in it...plus you can load in new samples from their huge library of sounds for free. They just posted a bunch of new ones on their website too. Not sure what your budget is though. But check them out.
Members ChristianRock
If in a budget, the Alesis Fusion has all the mellotron samples available for free in its proprietary format, from Hollow Sun.
