A few other interesting tidbits...

If you go to Andy's site http://andytimmons.com there is a photos link http://andytimmons.com/photos.php (I can't link it any deeper than this - the site is flash), there is a recording link where there are photos of the band in the studio. There are some good shots of Andy's gear too.

Also the site contains a ::::forum::::
http://andytimmons.com/ATBBBS/index.php
The forum is only moderately active but Mike Daane (bassist and co-producer) and Andy himself both occasionally post over there in the General ATB Discussions section.

saw them open for Alice Cooper once and Extreme once...really hated Danger Danger...horrible..

but noticed the guitar player was awesome...ended up hanging out with Andy after a show..real cool guy ..still have a DD pick he gave me..a dunlop tortex jazz for the muso geeks out there...

that said..his instrumental stuff is great..especially Resolution..perfect balance of composition , taste, tone , chops...even though he has mad chops he never seems to overplay and his stuff really fits...most instrumental stuff is a yawn fest but Andy's stuff is solid....

I got the Danger Danger disk with Andy on it when it came out. I was working at a record store and it was a cutout, so it was free. Anyway, the songs were better than the first release, but pretty standard fair. The solo's however - Andy's tone and chops on that disk are my favorite of his by far.

I first got into Timmon's playing when my friend sent me one of his instrumental songs, 'A Night To Remember.' I was instantly floored by his phrasing. I couldn't believe I hadn't heard of him before.

I soon began to search YouTube for anything by Timmons. Up until a few months ago there was nothing but then there was a sudden surge. Andy Timmons Galore! I listened to a live performance of the song, "Cry For You."

MY. JAW. DROPPED!

The melodic phrasing, the aggressive chops, the stage presence! Andy Timmons had become my new inspiration.

Then one day my friend sent me a link. He was like, "d00d check this out. Andy Timmons was in a real band." The clip was Danger Danger's "Beat The Bullet." I really love the whole Hair Metal scene so watching this was a treat. Andy's solos were so incredible. And his tone...I could not even describe in comprehensible words even if I tried. Needless to say, I scanned ebay for some Danger Danger cds (which was a task, there are thousands of Danger Danger items which don't relate to the band in any way) and picked up the first two albums for a whopping $5.92. Screw It! has so many sweet tracks but hearing Andy rip it up on that instrumental shred track is probably one of my favs on that album.
