Members The Boogie Man
I picked up this 60's Bogen amp Model M120 at a second hand store, and it has the strangest tubes in it, at first I thought it had 6L6's. I can't even find these tubes listed in my RCA Tube Manual, my tube tester doesn't have a listing for them and my substitution book only shows the preamp tubes. The tubes are all RCA and as follows: Preamp, 2- 6EV7, Phase Inverter, 12DW7 (7247), Power amp, 4- 8417 and look kind of like a 6L6CG. I thought about getting it working but maybe I'll just part it out. Anyone know much about these amps? Need some 8417's?

Members Saucy Jack
I have a Risson CTA120 that uses 4 8417's in the power section. I think it's more like a 6550 but with a bit more headroom.
