Members soundwave106 Posted June 22, 2010 Members Share Posted June 22, 2010 Maybe I am just getting up in years but I have zero interest in schlepping around heavy, expensive keyboards to gigs, unless I have roadies and/or I am opening for the Rolling Stones. And vintage gear? That makes no sense to me at all, but for those that get off on it, knock yourselves out. I still gig with my Andromeda, but that's because I would have so much crap to reprogram without it. And there is an advantage to heavier synths -- when drunker dancers bump into your stand, it's much harder for them to topple over 80 pounds of keyboard + one very annoyed, mosh-pit-experienced keyboard player.
