Sorry to hijack your thread though, man. Out of your suggestions, I'd pick the Parker Fly. I love mine!

Get a Select Supreme model, though. One of thee most gorgeous lookin' guitars I've ever seen.

im sorry to say this...

i couldnt take a guitar for free...

id have to pass. unless somehow you aided in earning this money...

otherwise if you really must take a guitar be modest. you really dont need a vintage instrument... or a custom shop collectors guitar

just cos you got the money to throw at a guitar doesnt mean itll be good.

its all in your playing too. what you want from a guitar, just cos it has a five figure price tag wont mean its good.

eg i prefer my korean tele to every USA tele ive played (to date 18 - 8 - 06)

and cost less than half the amount.

you just find whats right for you and you wont regret it.

buy a collectors piece... many things could happen... it would be easy to not like it and it would hang on a wall (cruel fate for any guitar) you may find it too precious and not want to play it... ive seen that before
financial difficulty and its sold, what a waste.

you dont let go of a player

my advice (after dont get anything) is to get what feels right, even if its only $100

and say thanks to this lady from me. i like to hear about good things. :)

My choices would be.

1. Parker Fly Deluxe

2. Les Paul Custom

3. PRS custom 22

It's kinda a toss up since I love em all. what would you do

Why stop there? I'd get a McInturff Tree of Life, list price $10,000. Live a little! ;)
