Members vlad
I just ordered 4 for my XTC Classic. Been using SED's for years, but I've heard great things about these tubes. Anyone? Bueller?

Members SkyhighRocks
Vlad...the rubys I had made my DSL sound a little clearer, more focused than the GTs I had. The bass/mid/treble didn't seem to change much to my ears but the overall sound improved.Having said that, anyone want to buy a QUAD?

The amp sounds 'new' again. Not a big difference but something that's hard to pin-point.
Members diocide
I have some in my Marshall Artist, but I can't really help anymore than that, because they're the only tubes I've ever used in it:)

The preamp tubes were Groove Tubes. They sounded really crunchy, not harsh at all. The bottom end was pretty good too. Hope that helps, I'm not really a tube buff. haha

Members chobley
Would anyone know how these Ruby tubes compare to Mullard el34's ? I have the mullards now in the QR , they are the ones Splawn ships with his amps. Thanks
Members Cibyl
The Ruby's sound a bit warmer to me,...SED's have that bite on top.
Members FlesheatinFlesh
EXCELLENT tube for the Price. I got a free quad though, so im a little biased.
Members Greazygeo
I've got these in both my Wizard's. I don't care for EL34's much, they are usually too loose on the low end and have too much upper mid / treble harshness. That said, I like the Ruby's they are alot more solid on the bottom end, fat/clear in the mids and smooth on the top. I would put them more in the 6ca7 type range. SED's are fine in NMV amps for me. Members A.Pulverizer
Just threw a quad in my VHT 100 CL. I don't hear a big difference from the Mesas that were in there, but it is quieter.
Members FourT6and2
I've had 2 of them go bad on me within the last 3 months. It could be the amp though? One of them went all gassy and started glowing blue then went, the other one started arching inside. I have a new set in and so far so good. Members nakedzen
I like them. If you leave Ruby out off the middle and just buy the Shuguang EL-34B's (which are the same tube) you'll save a few bucks.
