Members evildragon
Yeah, how S1 Pro isn't the new standard by now really amazes me. Everyone using other garbage out there have no idea what they're missing... Reaper is far, far from garbage.
Members Michael Blue
Probably a bit too harsh a word, but with that in mind I have another word for you; mastering. If you haven't tried S1 Pro, seriously, give it a shot.I can't believe how powerful and simple it is all at the same time.
Members evildragon
Don't need mastering myself. Don't want to try other stuff when Reaper fits my workflow perfectly. Why change a winning horse? Also, Reaper's price is right for me. S1... not so much. I'm kinda settled.
Members Don Solaris
Probably a bit too harsh a word, but with that in mind I have another word for you; mastering. Nice mastering tools in Studio 1, but the freeware "market" isn't far behind. As long as you have a multi insert channel at the master bus in a Reaper (and i'm sure there's one), you can do about just the same. Assuming one knows exactly what he's doing and why, if not, the best DAW won't help. There are some nice freeware plugins out there - that will do the job just the same. I think we have a thread about that on GS. Need to dig it out. To be honest, i went S1 mostly for that Eyecandy UI with flat panel surface and no annoying floating windows. S1 is king in that department. In fact i kinda miss that old archaic Cubase UI or heaven forbid, to route something to a sidechain channel. Damn, in Studio 1 every kid can do it in a mouse click. Members burster
Nice pic. I really like my Monotron and get a lot of cool sounds out of it. Remember to try sliding into the notes like manual portamento.

Members Acid Hazard
Way ahead of ya. I have one on it's way to me right now. I'm hoping it'll be here on Monday, but with all the holiday hustle and bustle, who knows. I also want to do the mod to switch between the LFO and an EG, as well as the A440 tone mod. Members Acid Hazard
Yep. Sad to see those wood ends abused like that. Those guys are idiots. Yet i still go in there... I wonder if they still have the Mopho sitting in the case.
Members Acid Hazard
As much as I see the old Roland racks around here in Seattle, I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on one. What am I missing? I NEVER see them. Where are you spotting them? I'd love to find an MKS-50 (at a reasonable price) =o]
Members MuzikB
To Acid Hazard, Didn't see a Morpho there so it might be gone. I've been going to trader stores and pawn shops as I'm getting to know the city. Just grab the yellow pages and a Tom Tom and get to it when you've got some free time. Most of the stuff I'm coming across is pretty abused though. Must be all that Grunge music. Kats don't seem to take care of their equipment here. Members mikelpanky
So far, I love it. SMOOTH transient response, works well on my voice. Much smoother and pleasant than my friends new AKG P420. Attached-to-the-shockmount pop filter is a Godsend, although it's positioning joints seem loose. Feels very solid, the free high quality XLR is a nice touch. Wish it had a case, I'll probably built my own. I'll be posting samples of it on piano here soon, for those of you in to that sort of thing.

Members mikelpanky
Yeah, that was one thing I did like about the 220. At any rate, they're both under $300 condensers, both with different sounds useful in different situations. I just chose the Rode for mine.
