Members J2
I don't even know what front-loaded cabs are out there, besides VHT and Diezel.
Members Kyle DiSanto
Framus cobra is a nice cab and I loved my Engl Vintage with gt75/v30 in an x pattern. Kind of mad that I sold it!

Engl vintage is a front loaded cab, however, not sealed. Hence the back screwing off. VHT and Framus Cobra cabs have the sealed back design where the only way in the cab is by taking off the baffle or a speaker...

Easy enuf to make one of those rear panels seal up but still be able to screw it off.

Members cobrahead1030
earcandy makes great cabs, but only 1x12 or 2x12 i think g flex cabs are front loaded, but i could be mistaken most avatar cabs are as well
Members Seano Porno
I'm still baffled (see what I did there...see...?) as to what the benifits are of a Front Loaded cab are. I know most bass cabs are front loaded but the only FL cab I've ever tried was a Diezel Herbert cab. Can anyone fill me in?
Members yabba
I have an ampeg V3 cab that I picked up from a fellow HC member that I dig; it's front loaded

More immediate, more focused, more attack and detail, more in your face, but doesn't cover up your mistakes too well.Sounds more aggressive. Members Seano Porno
Hmm..so there's benifits to be had. Got me thinking now. People go for different things like X pattern cabs and hald open back/closed back stuff...anyone ever thought of a half front loaded/half rear loaded? Could be a custom project for someone perhaps? I'd imagine it'd be better on straight cab, would you wanna internally seal it off as two 2x12 enclosures?
Members J2
I like the overall in your face aggressiveness of a closed-back front-loaded 4x12, I used to have a VHT cab. I'm just wondering what's out there today that compares.
