Members WillShrdForFood
I want to buy a external hard drive for christmas, so I can delete a bunch of {censored} from my hard drive and free up a bunch of space on my PC. However I know nothing about them so I'm not sure which to get. I dont need anything of superduper high quality, just something that has a decent amount of spage 100-150GB or so that isnt a piece of crap. I was thinking about getting one of these:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=612118&Sku=M261-1008&SRCCODE=YAHOODF&CMP=SPC-YAHOO http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2470703&Sku=B175-1042&SRCCODE=YAHOODF&CMP=SPC-YAHOO So what would you recommend? Members bullhead
the way i would recommend doing it is buying an internal IDE based drive and then buying a separate external case. this is really all you get when you buy an external drive, but you'll save a considerable amount of money doing it this way, and installation is usually no harder than opening the case and plugging the drive in. IDE is the internal connection for hard drives which is basically obsolete now in favor of SATA, and as such they're considerably cheaper.

You buy a harddrive that you normally would install into your pc, but you also buy hardcase for it, so you can just plug it into your USB.Thats what it appears to be anyways. Ive actually never seen anything like that until now.
