Members Nillerbabs
Yes, it seems so! An announcement on the Nord website ushers the release of a new keyboard at Musik Messe. Scroll down a bit, press the image on the right side with red keyboards and smiling Nord employees and you'll see the representative of the Italian distributor playing what looks like an Electro 3 with the weighted action of the Stage. Cool... But I sense an overlap with the Nord Piano?
Members RetroVintageOld
Does it "say" it's weighted anywhere? How can you tell from just a picture?
Members lerber3
A weighted Electro 3 would really screw up the Nord line-up. I was going to call BS... but if you look closely, it also looks like the keybed goes down to low E instead of F. Hmmmm.....
Members AnotherScott
Good catch on that photo! Yup, looks like it goes down to low E. The Nord Piano would still have the advantages of 88 keys, and, unless they make further changes to the Electro, more piano RAM, string resonance, and 3-pedal support. In a way, though, this could also address the desires of those wishing for a 76-key Nord Piano. (The E3-73 action is pretty bad for piano.)
