Members Bluesaholick
I can only think of one time when you would need a 100 watt amp or a 4x12 cab. -Large venues with small P.As.- Now how many of those exist these days? 100 watt amps and 4x12 cabs ARE USELESS

Members JnBroadbent
I have an 80 and 60 watt heads coming in that are going through a g-flex 212. Wouldn't mind adding another 212.
Members RG550
I think I may get a Ampeg SVT classic. . .300w. And a quad of old 70's Marshall 4x15 cabs. I think that would be best.

Members Marc Roy
Well they might be useless for Bluesaholick, but honestly, would you want to endure hearing him play his blues crap through a 100 watter and two 4x12 cabs?

Members Marc Roy
A lot of them. Yeah, but you have to remember. Cockaholick doesn't play large venues, just {censored}holes big enough to hold a few inbreds.

Didn't you start some debate on how blues is better then metal? Fyi, red is better then blue. And oranges taste better then apples. RLY
Members pink freud
wrong wrong wrong. you completely forget 2 things: headroom for one. and some amps have a transparent power section.

Cockaholick doesn't play large venues, just {censored}holes big enough to hold a few inbreds. Hit the nail on the head. I think it's fair to say, 18 watt combos or whatever cannot withstand or put out anything remotely heavy that doesn't sound thin at higher volumes. Members pink freud
That's why my main amps are 120 watts... imagine if VHT DIDN'T underrate the KT88's...200 watts
Members Marc Roy
Put it this way: anyone using a 100W with some cabs would easily drown Cockaholick's Fenders if you were to jame with him. It's a good thing to own a lot of power sometimes.
