Just wondering how well it does in standard tunings, (Mercyful Fate, King Diamond kind of stuff). I'm old-school. I'm into 80's thrashy tones as well, (Testament, Overkill, etc.). I'd also like to be able to play some Gary Moore. I never play in B, or C, just drop-D, for heavier stuff. Again, old-school. Every {censored}ing clip I hear is low tuning, and sludgy, yet still sound good. Like I said, I had a 5150 head, but it was {censored}ed up, (needed FX loop jacks replaced). A guy on the forum bought it as is, and fixed it. When it worked, I boosted it with a TS9, and really liked it. Many say the 60 watt combo sounds warmer, and I gotta think shreds - less wattage, earlier break-up. Damn, I about got myself talked into it. Looks like you dropped the price to $650 shipped? Damn, it's either this, or a new DSL on the 5-pay with AMS, (since I haven't found one used for a good deal without "issues"), and pick up a 2x12 on ebay this weekend. {censored}...
