Depends on your viewpoint. The mass majority of metalheads do not count metalcore as being a valid metal genre since it borrows too heavily from hardcore. Typically if a band is not on metal-archives then they are not metal, course there are exceptions. The archives for instance tends to not include grindcore bands despite grind being accepted as a subgenre of metal and generally is very accepted amongst metalheads. Running around with stupid costumes on, always flexing his arms, and kissing himself. I saw them on tour with Slayer a few years ago, and as soon as they went on, all the teenagers, with their parent chaperons crammed their way up to the stage.
