went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families,

2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't

speak English. Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box, I have to press

"one" to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other

than "Old Glory" are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more

It is BS and needs to be defeated. There is no way in the hell our government will be able to handle over 12 million background checks in 24 hours. Plus the enforcement part that is in the bill would not be done either. They lied about all this {censored} once in 1986 and they are lying now. If we were to actually "solve" the problem of illegal immigration but stopping the flow and sending all the illegals back, our economy would crumble. You see, a solid 40% of our labor force in the agricultural industry is here illegally. What happens when they all just disappear...are you gonna pick your own beans white man...ummm...no you're not. Can the agricultural industry afford to pay minimum wage and benefits....no. Are you gonna to pay $5 an apple...no. The reality is, until the economy can subsist without a limitless pool of slave labor to perform menial tasks for low pay, the government will have no real motivation to solve the immigration problem in any meaningful way. In fact, they'd be foolish to do so.

You're a bit misguided here. There is nothing wrong with a mult-lingual society. While visiting Italy I noticed people were alot more educated in terms of language, many of them spoke English and Spanish. This is a non-issue unless you're racist.

 

Schools not performing well? Thats the issue of the school, my school had a ton of koreans not speaking a word of English yet they, and the classes are doing fine. Its very possible to create a system that can handle students who don't speak english well, I see it every day

 

Health care falling short? Its your government, not the mexicans. Other countries have FREE medical care, we're somewhere in the gray area. We have medicare and medicade to cover those without other insurance, but its a broken system with loopholes, confusing forms, and major profits for drug companies but not for the average american. It won't be solved by getting rid of mexicans

 

Housing is a problem, I agree. Around here though it really has nothing to do with immigration though, its royally {censored}ed up anyway. A house that would cost a few hundred grand somewhere else can go for millions in NJ, I'm not sure why. Anyway, I can't really comment because I don't know where you live or what its like.

People that get into farming with the idea that they'll just use illegals to save money by paying slave wages and not having to offer medical benefits have no business BEING in business. They obviously don't have the capital to maintain a legitimate business. THESE are the people killing our country, not the illegals. I don't begrudge anyone trying to improve their family's quality of life. If there wasn't a place where they could go and get paid daily under the table, they wouldn't come. Large construction companies that hire day laborers, the meat packing industry and farm owners are the real criminals. As far as picking my own fruits and vegetables, I do it all the time and have since I was a kid, there are a few local orchards in NV where you can go pick your own fruit/veggies. Family owned and operated and I say God bless them.

This is the same government responsible for us paying near on ten dollars a gallon for gas.

 

This is the government that took the UK to an illegal war that should never have happened and in one fell swoop, degenerating anglo-eastern relations by decades and then telling us its down to all them bad old racists. This is the same government that has brought the economic state of the country to its knees and to a recession that is going to be the worst seen by any western world country for almost a century.
