Vox AC50, anyone?

Anyone else have one? I have a 1964 that I bought about 10 years ago...it's semi-retired, but every once in a while I pull it out and play through it....definitely not like an AC30...I always thought it sounded a little more Marshall-like, but I never have had the original speakers, just a cabinet with greenbacks....

I played one in the store a while back. A lot more midrange, less bass, than an AC30. Still chimey. Seems like it would be good with a strat or tele.

more midrange and less bass than an ac30?

supposedly much of abbey road is ac-50 and "come together" is all ac-50.

I had heard the Paul McCartney used the AC50 and AC100 alot during that period....I don't know about less bass...there is a pretty full spectrum of sounds that you can get out of it, from mud to thin, and all of the good stuff in the middle!
