GC will swap me even for my Mesa F30 for the Line 6 III 2X12 . I just don't want to buy a bunch of effects.Any input
Members EdgeOfDarkness
The f50 and 30's interest me for some reason, I have never tried one. I have not tried the new line 6 III either.

Members EdgeOfDarkness
The flextones are good amps, go for it. The F-30's sell in the $500 range used i think.

Members antiochband
The price for a new Flextone III XL 2x12 is $700, sooooooo..... do it, I guess. But keep in mind that you'll need one of the FBV controllers or a midi controller to access all the prests and effects, broseph.
Members NeloAngelo
true dat. when i used it i had an fbv express.
Members antiochband
I'd say go with a Behringer midi controller, the FCB1010 or something. More flexibility.
Members leftyDave
Thanks for the idea of the behringer pedal board its a lot better priced
Members TomCTC
I sold my Line 6 Flextone III XL for $400. Don't do it. Buy a used one, but be prepared that selling it again will be a bitch.
Members cobrahead1030
i'd definitely try to sell the f30 and buy a used flextone...while you may be getting a decent deal on a new one that is worth $700; you also have to consider that your f30 is gonna hold steady or go up in value, while that flextone is only gonna be worth less and less over the years
Members Guitarfreak108
your nuts to trade a tube amp for a modeler thats trying to be a tube amp.

Members NeloAngelo
i also owned a mesa markIIc. it was stolen. never could replace the tone it gave me.
Members LithiumZero
don't do it. If your interested I can drop a big steamer in a box and ship it too you in trade for the F30. I'll even throw in $10.00 to make it a better deal than GC is offering.
Members Dann'sTheMan
Have you considered moving forward with your F-30 instead? If you're considering the Behringer MIDI foot controller, then you're not too far away from my rig - which imho is ideal for a cover band situation. My F-50 rig is set up to change sound (Rhythm/Lead/Contour + whatever FX chain I like) with a single stomp on my FCB1010. To my mind, I get the flexibility of the Line6 set up that you're considering, but with the tone of the Mesa. Big smiles,Andy.P.S. FWIW, I'm not a Line6 hater. I gig out regularly with my POD and my Variax, and I've used the Flextone III in anger with my FCB1010. However, there is no tonal comparison between the Line6 and the Boogie imo.P.P.S. Check out the F-series Lounge (link in sig) for loads of tips on getting the most out of Mesa's stealth amp.
Members cjo
The Flex III is a great amp. I've owned it twice. But I liked the older ones better. I never thought much of the F30 however.
Members leftyDave
thanks for all the suggestions except the {censored} in a box LOL.I think i'll try the rack and midi floor board and buy a used flextone GAS!
