Members I was The Funk
Since there was already a synth thread going on here and clearly theres a couple of synth users, I thought I would ask. do y'all have noisy signal coming out of the guitar out on your synth. I use a gr-1, and the output signal seems to me to be a little weak and having some line noise. Enough that when I play with higher gain, its definintely noticable when not playing. Sounds like 60hz noise. But doesn't go away. for reference the chain is: guitar -> Gr1 - synth out to bass amp, Guitar out to - > Switchblade selector - > TU-2 - > Little Big Muff - > Crybaby - >Jekyl and Hude - > Small stone -> small clone - > MXR Flanger - > Echo Park - Ampeg Jet. Everything is plugged into the same power strip. Got a DC brick for the pedals. Any advice?
Members Andersonology
Yeah, get rid of the magnetic PU and get a piezo GraphTech. I did, and I've never been happier.
Members I was The Funk
So the noise problem is rooted in the GK2a? That sort of would make sense. Seems a shady piece of gear.
Members dmtnt
Kind of a long shot, but is the noise there if you disconnect the cable from your 1/4" jack? I had a similar issue with my Ibanez that has the synth pickup built into the bridge, I ran the 1/4" jack to my amp and the output from my GR-33 direct to the board - BIG time hum! Turned out to be a grounding issue between the 2, never did solve it and ended up giving up.
