Members JBecker
I got to play a Suhr strat the other day-- very nice guitar. I have to tell you though, I still would take my G&L comparing the prices... That being said, one thing that was really awesome was just how ridiculously even and linear the volume knob was on the Suhr. So what's the deal? Is this something I can easily get on the strat I have with a quick soldering job? What's he doing different?

Members Digital Jams
I would post at TGP asking about the tamper and make of the volume pot, it is the pot itself that dictates what you ask.

Members evacuated
John Suhr is a member on TGP, and seems like a real cool guy. He will probably answer your question, even if it's a PM. I am curious too man, that thing had perfect taper to the volume didn't it, and didn't suck out the treble.
Members JBecker
Yeah it was kind of wild. The treble roll off has never bothered me much.... but damn the taper was ideal.
Members JBecker
Use a CTS normal Audio taper PotAdd a 680pf cap as well as a 150K resistor from the input to the out of the pot, both go in the same placeYou can play with either value but this seems to work the best for my pickupsLaterJohn For those who are wondering...
