Members Shinequwa
I have a line on a used JSX head for a good price. I'm more of a combo guy, and know that the JSX combos are 2x12 and weigh in at 85 pounds, which is unacceptable for me at this point in my life. Looking into the possiblity of converting this into a 1x12 combo. Any words of advice?

Pine cab is probably the lightest, but also dents easily.
Members fistacuffs
you will lose portability and money hacking up a head. the cheapest and safest idea is leave the head as is and add a 1/12 cab or 2 if you would like

You really can't "hack up a head" to make it larger. You'd just build a combo cab to put the chassis into. You could always put the chassis back into the head cab, if desired.
