Members JoshuaLogan
you should also think about the differences in neck profiles. ibanez necks are almost flat, where as my jackson's neck is a thin curve all the way around. have you looked at dean? they have thicker necks than jacksons, and you can get em with 24 frets and a floyd. Yeah, I was thinking the different profiles might have something to do with it... It sounds weird, but that cheap SG special really fit my hands better than any shred guitars I've ever picked up... Gibson just calls that neck profile "Rounded".... if I go to get a custom gutiar made and want a similar neck profile what would I ask for? Would that be what they call a C shape? Members Shask
Yeah, ESP is thicker in general. But, Jackson is wider, so thats why they would feel thicker, even if they arent. Gibson is wider also like Jackson, so maybe you are digging that wider (1 11/16") width?
