Members JoshuaLogan
I am thinking about getting a DC747. I've never had a 7 string guitar before, and the DC747 is looking really appealing to me. I don't want to entirely switch over to 7 strings or anything (atleast I don't think so... lol). I just want to have one available to me to get used to and play some different stuff. https://www.carvinguitars.com/catalog/guitars/index.php?model=dc747 They look really, really nice. Members starsnuffer
I have one. It's my favorite guitar. I like it better then my j-custom RG7CST. What do you want to know about it? -W
Members sonofabias
I've owned one since the summer and I can't put it down ! This guitar almost made me want to stop playing my sixes and it works well with my amps. I've used it for a few tracks and solos on my record and live' on two gigs recently. The only thing you'll want to change are the pups, I'm using a set of B.N.war pigs.
Members starsnuffer
+1 on changing the pups. I use an AN7 in the neck and DA7 in the bridge. Were the warpigs tough to grind down the baseplates on to fit? The dimarzio's have fiberglass baseplates, I thought the BN were steel? -W
Members sonofabias
My tech did it with very little trouble and no routing, just a few file strokes.
Members kanamvar32
i have a dc727 and its a great guitar. any particular question, you can PM me and easier than grinding the baseplates is sanding the sides of the pickup cavities. you can do it with 80 grit sandpaper and 2 fingers
