Members cacheek Posted May 2, 2008 Members Share Posted May 2, 2008 Well, I'm getting back into guitar after a 1+ year hiatus (hope that's spelled right). I want to go with a Laney TT50 head and Genz-Benz 2x12 cab, depending on how much it'll run. I had a TT50H and an Avatar Hellatone 2x12 cab and loved it for about 6 mo., got out of playing, sold all my amps, and now I'm crying so. So, a few questions. First, how much do you think I'll have to spend to get the above, used of course? Second, how difficult is it to fix Laney equipment? I never had a problem out of mine, but I want to make sure I can get the average tech to fix it if I do. I had a Mesa Nomad and nobody would work on it because they weren't an authorized dealer, or something like that. Plus, they said it was too complicated to work on them anyway. Thanks for the input! P.S. - Do the VH100s cost more or less the same? Also, what's the difference in sound. Someone said it was close to a JCM800, but I've never played the JCM800.
