The secret to me is to cranck the amp without attenuating becouse of the speaker distortion that adds cream.

Another foundamental thing is an high-end compressor after the mic pre that add character, it makes the tone more vibrating and more agressive.

Mine is an ADK cla-1 opto compressor made in the vein of the LA3A but it is a bit more vintage sounding it gives a very syrupy character to the lead tone.

many folks here concentrate a lot on the amp to get a great recorded tone but they don't consider the recording signal path.

to me the mic pre and the compressor are important at the same level of the amp ang guitar.

here is the clip:

Agreed. What amp do you use again, Metroamp? Plexi RI?

Do you bridge your channels or plug straight into the bright input?

I'm using my Ceriatone 50 Plexi Bass an I plug stratght in the Bright channel

But as I said a pro compress is necessary for me to finish your sound, it gives you a more in your face sound more texture and at the same time it smooth out pick attack.

Aaah its a Bass 50. It has a similar mid grind to my Superbass. Nice tones.

tone is cool. but is that the right drum part for the tune ? something soounds mis-timed

Yes the fact is that I haven't registerd one cubase plug-in so it makes a noise some time similar to a hit hat that make it it feel like it is a bit out.

Nice tone! That sounded really good. The song reminded me of something one of the forumites here on the forum would have done (Bob Savage). He did a CD a few years back called "Retrofitted". Your playing style, tone, etc. just reminded me of something he would do like "Elephant Tank" from his CD. Here is his page. I love his songs:
