Members OverDriven
apparently he was pulling it out of his wall and the third prong stuck in the outlet. I know you don't believe that though, right?
Members Doctorx
This might help you:Power cord wiring codes.Replacing a grounded plug. Replacing a grounded cord. Replacing a grounded plug. Go to home depot and ask the guy in the electrical aisle for a three pronged, grounded electrical plug. There will be a few different kinds, get a good one with screw terminals. Ask the guy show you how to wire it, and when you get home look over the above for instructions too. I would ask the guy to whom you loaned the amp to pay for it. Members heath
It's just a 5150 combo. no biggie, I don't use it and sounds like crap in general.but when my band comes over to practice the other guitarist uses it. Well since this is the case...It is a total loss. I just started a new get rid of crap amp business(just started as in as when I typed this). You send me the amp and I will dispose of it properly. Just kidding of course. Just get a replacement plug at a hardware store, they are pretty straight forward to install. The 5150 combo isnt that bad of an amp. Sure the clean is terrible but I find it better than the 5150 head as its warmer.
