Should I remove the pickguard of this strat?

The pickups you just unscrew, the selector switch should unscrew as well, just take the plastic knob off the end and it should be free floating once you unscrew.

 

then just take the screws out of the pickguard and lift.

 

assuming no strings on the guitar

Ok so I decided to take it off since I figured it would only take a few minutes and I gotta say.. I'll be putting the pickguard back on in a few minutes :lol:

Firstly the singlecoils were mounted to the pickguard and secondly.. The guitar looks fugly without the pickguard :cop: (pic will follow soon) Because the wood underneath the pickguard is way paler than the other wood, it's almost like the pickguard is still there :facepalm:
