Members jlc1587
So, I was thinking about what guitar I wanted for Christmas and I've always wanted an electric guitar with that wood finish look. It can be painted on doesn't matter. Much like this PRS...http://www.prsguitars.com/mccartykorina/index.html Although I think thats like 2 grand and I can't do that. I need something 1200 and under. I mostly play Schecter but I couldn't find one with that finish. I figured you guys knew some with it. Like I said doesn't have to be exactly like that one. Just that wood look to it. Members Nolly
The Ibanez S and RGT series have some pretty nice natural guitars in their ranges. Could be worth checking out if the aforementioned Schecters don't tickle your fancy.
Members jlc1587
Eh, those schecters don't look that great. I kinda gave up on Ibanez since their quality has gone down. But I may check into an RGT. I'm going to look now.
Members guitarbilly74
if you want one with the same type of wood as the PRS (Korina) try this one, it's nice guitar for the price:

Members jlc1587
Do try one, my brother's guitarist has one, its pretty cool. I actually have one too of the exotics but it's not a natural finish. I guess the reason I said wood finish instead of natural although i realize it's the same thing the way that PRS looks like natural wood or something. I looked at ibanez but I couldn't find the RGT the only one I found in natural was one of the cheap bolt on ones. But their website never has all of their guitars on it. Just like you can play a V sitting but I don't prefer it. I always put those in the stand up only guitar category.
Members Dewysoss
I'd get this over the explorer personally. http://www.drumcityguitarland.com/drumcitygl/stores/1/Fender-Spaulted-Maple-Telecaster-HH-6-String-Electric-Guitar-P170C17.aspx

Members jlc1587
eh it's big I guess is what I'm trying to say and i don't prefer sitting down with them. http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/ESP-LTD-FX260-Spalted-Maple?sku=512886 This one is 399. almost the same guitar with not as good pickups but I don't think I'd get it because the finish isn't as cool as the other one. I usually change out pickups anyway though.

Members CenturyStanding
Crescent Moon Guitars I found this guy at a Guitar Convention in New York a few years back. One dude, hand makes everything made-to-order, using tung-oil matte finishes with really exotic top woods, just sort of as a side thing on top of his regular career. Really down to earth guy. His instruments sound and feel AMAZING and are usually under $2k a piece. Seriously look into it. He'll make it using any combination of woods or pickups you want. They're completely custom. One of these will definately be my next guitar. ZebraWood: Sapele: Curly Mahogany (kind ugly IMO): Though the Spalted Maple Custom Telecaster would be my runner up for natural wood guitars. That think is awesome.
