Members MattACaster
Has anyone ever had a song or songs randomly disappear from your iTunes/iPod? I noticed the other day that there are at least 20-30 songs missing from my iTunes library. And they're not confined to one album or artist. It's just random songs from any band... Members Brick
when you plug your Ipod in, does it automatically manage your music by itself?
Members Brother_Budro
yeah make sure you have your ipod on manually manage as opposed to automaticly updating

Members kadrocker
I don't have that problem. But my Ipod has songs on it that used to work, but now they don't. Weird.
Members olgluefoot
make sure your ipod and itunes dont sync, and make sure you have the manual manage option selected.
Members MattACaster
Will manual manage really make a difference?? I've had this iPod for 3-4 years and it's been fine up until now.
Members K-Bizzle
yeah if its done automatically I would assume that some recent itunes update detected something or another and deleted it from you library and then deleted it from your ipod when you auto updated. If that was true then nothing would be left on the iPod. I don't buy from the iTunes store and even if I own the CD, I still grabbed the MP3s through a torrent site. I'd switch to manual manage so if/when something deletes you basically have it backed up on the ipod. As to why I really wish I had a clue cuz this has me head scratching. Just manually manage your music, and you basically just drag and drop all your music as to where you want it to go. It works alot better
Members MattACaster
I guess I'll make the change and see what happens. Now I have to track down everything that is missing.

Members Fig0ta
Itunes sucks to manage music in, I use Winamp and it's a lot EASIER to deal with. Give it a try
