Members firejack018
forgive me,but why would anyone buy a Palmer when he could buy a Weber mass or hotplate and have a load box for a lot less $$$, and have attenuation ability if you want? I only use my Palmer as a junction box for recording.Gives me up to 4 unfiltered lines out to my recording interface. I looked into the Webers and the model I was interested in only had 1 line out.I've used a Hotplate many years ago as an attenuator and hated it. Members firejack018
hey dude have you tried just using the effects send? Lots of people chose to only use the preamp out of the amp, saying that teh poweramp is already included in the impulse. When i was using my JCM800, i think my direct tone was better when using a load. i guess it might depend on the amp. have you tried both ways? I need my effects loop for my effects. :poke: It works for me.

Members Rear Naked
Bigger, more crushing, stereo sound.isnt it the same signal though? that wouldnt make it stereo anyway....are all your clips direct? or do you mic the amp as well. Your tones are great and im suprised to hear that you record this way
Members firejack018
no...you just use the line out of the last effect you have in the chain:facepalm: That's still only one line though. I needs two simultaneous lines to get stereo sound. Stop busting my balls. :poke: Hey what did you end up doing with the midi files I sent you? Members Agreed
I'll be reviewing Recabinet for FrugalGuitarist in the March-April edition coming out March 2 If you want a preview, it's basically "buy this holy crap its awesome," $40 for over 300 IRs recorded so well that you can run them in parallel without phase problems, with all the placement options you could want, PLUS there's an EL34 and a 6L6 impulse for each cab and placement.
