I have that setup in my V as well..

 

except there are two pickups and only one knob (volume) and a selector switch

 

the neck pickup isn't connected though :cop:

Part of it is to do with the strap button location. Get a good grippy strap, relocate the strap buttons... dive shouldn't be much of a problem. Jacksons in general are pretty headstock heavy though IMO.

 

I already relocated the upper one (closer to the neck)

I have a Kramer Vanguard, which is the same sharkfin shape as the Rhoads. I moved the strap button to the edge of the body, and then a Levy's suede-backed leather strap helps a *lot* to eliminate neck-dive. If you do this though, straplocks are a must.

Pretty sure if you move the strap button more towards the middle, rather than out towards the end of the wing, it'll help with the weight distribution.

 

I'm really just going from memory though, as my brain is too {censored}ed today to think about it properly. Need less wine and guitar, more sleep. :bor:
