Members Giorgi
IDD excellent actually. You sound like U2 because of the singer mostly I guess, but not nearly enough to be confused I think the use of delay for guitars also plays a role in that catogization but whatever. I liked it. Words work very well, when reading them without music it didn't make any sense to me but it fits really well, Imo.
Members ciperlone
This is an interesting topic. Once in a while a friend of mine said to me that she and her boyfriend only liked music if the lyrics made sense. After that moment I started to have some respect for lyrics, and improved myself a lot, specially by analyzing hit songs were people were attracted by it
Members ColinLynch
obvious lyrics lack imagination. the audience will know exactly what the point of the song is, leaving less possibility towards relating to the song. Id say your manager is a twat and should keep with the finding of gigs.
Members Bodyguard2112
Tell the manager to either grab a guitar and a mic and get out there, or to just manage, and shut up about what the band writes and plays. Unless it's country music, who cares what the lyrics say as long as they sound great.

Members djowens123
Having read the lyrics it's hard to say. For me the lyrics should have some kind of connection to the music and link with the chorus to give it some kind of coherent feel. I also think that if you are a lyricist then if all your songs are too self indulgent and obscure then it's going to be hard to make any kind of real connection with an audience. Simplicity can sometimes be better than trying to be too clever. Think about it, if your in the band and don't know what it's all about then who else is going to? So your manager may have a point but at the same time he shouldn't try to stifle his talent. I also think a good manager can help a band not by changing them but just by making observations that may have escaped the band but may be obvious to others.
